OUR STORY

Northside Church began in 1959 as a group of families meeting in a small house in Jackson, Tennessee. Sixty-four years later we are a church body of over 900 sharing God’s love and making disciples who follow Jesus Christ. Our various ministries serve the needs of people not only in Jackson, TN but around the world. We are a non-denominational fellowship and are thankful for our heritage.

OUR MISSION

The mission of Northside Church is the same mission Jesus gave his followers:
To share God’s love and make disciples who follow Jesus Christ

OUR VISION

The vision of Northside Church is to create a community of authentic believers filled with God's grace, and to witness this city transformed by the life changing power and reality of the Gospel message, as people come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

CHURCH BODY

Northside Church is a welcoming congregation and a safe place to be able to grow, to heal, and to learn how to walk out our life journey with Jesus. There are many opportunities for this congregation to serve and get plugged in with their various gifts. Our congregation comes from a diverse spiritual background with a large number growing up in church settings from many denominations as well as those with non-denominational ties.

MINISTRIES

Externally, this church serves and supports many local non-profit missions and ministries that faithfully serve men, women and children in this local community. Our Outreach Missions include support to a church in Gamasara Tanzania, to El Ayudante in Nicaragua and Live Beyond in Haiti. We support and participate in the Walk to Emmaus. We have been leaders and participants in the City-wide Holy Ground Prayer initiative, Holy week services, Praise and Prayer nights, and City-wide Revivals.

Internally, we realize the importance of a  safe and a  strong children’s and youth ministry and continually invest into the lives of our younger generations. Discipleship and training take place through Sunday school, small groups, bible study classes, confirmation classes, Vacation Bible School, music programs, and special church wide family events, etc.
