At Northside, creating a safe and welcoming space isn’t just important to us. It’s part of who we are. We want every child, student, and vulnerable adult who walks through our doors to know they are seen, valued, and protected.
Our Safe Sanctuary Policy helps us do that. It gives clear guidance for things like volunteer screening, supervision, transportation, and what to do if something doesn’t feel right. Not because we love rules, but because we love people.
Safety builds trust. When parents know their children are cared for, they can worship and participate with peace of mind. When volunteers know what’s expected and that they’re supported, they can serve with confidence. And when trust is strong, community can grow.
At the heart of it all, this is about reflecting Jesus. The way we care for the most vulnerable says something about what we believe. We want Northside to be a place marked by grace, responsibility, and love. This is one way we live that out together.
