At Northside Church, we care deeply about creating a safe, welcoming space for everyone—especially our children, youth, and vulnerable adults. Our Safe Sanctuary Policy is all about making sure that every person who walks through our doors is protected, respected, and able to grow in faith without fear.

These guidelines cover things like volunteer screening, proper supervision, safe transportation, and how to respond if something concerning ever happens. They’re not just rules—they’re part of how we live out our faith and show love to one another.

Why does this matter? Because safety builds trust. When families know their kids are cared for and protected, they feel more comfortable engaging in church life. When volunteers and staff know there are clear expectations and support, they can serve with confidence. And as a church, we want to reflect the heart of Christ in everything we do—especially in how we care for the most vulnerable.

We believe that taking these steps isn’t just the right thing to do—it’s essential to building a healthy, vibrant church family. These policies help us live out our calling to be a place of grace, safety, and love.

ALL volunteers working with children, youth, and/or vulnerable adults need to complete our Safe Sanctuary Training by following the steps below:

  3. Receive in-person training from your volunteer position supervisor
