Who We Are

We are a vibrant community of Senior Adults who enjoy connecting and fellowshipping with each other to encourage one another on our Christian journey. There is a place here for you! Join us for monthly meetings and occasional outings and trips. (Scroll down the page to learn more.)

Sharing the love of God and making disciples who follow Jesus Christ by building a Christian community through fellowship and outreach.

Whom We Serve

The JOY Group ministry is designed to reach persons aged 50+, both married and single regardless of sex, race, or religious affiliation.

Why We Serve

We serve others because Jesus Christ served us. We strive to fulfill His calling for us to be in ministry to each other, to our community, and to the whole world.

Ways We Serve

Building fellowship through monthly social activities.
We meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month in Hope Hall. We have lunch together, socialize, and enjoy a variety of programs/guest speakers.

Outreach
(Mission Projects)

Volunteer at church with a monthly emphasis such as collecting canned goods for RIFA, packing health kits for the Nicaragua mission team, Gamasara, Africa mission, and Live beyond in Haiti mission, volunteering at the soup kitchen at RIFA in Jackson, or working at the toy store at Reelfoot.

Fellowship and Outreach
Through Travel

  • Day trips and overnight expeditions
  • Mission trips to Reelfoot Rural Ministries or Mountain Top Ministries
  • Sightseeing Trips
  • Outings to plays, festivals, or dinners
  • Arise to Read volunteerism with local elementary schools

JOY meetings are held in Hope Hall at 11:00am-12:30pm.
Lunch Cost is $7.00 per person
