A Small Beginning, A Growing Faith
Northside Church began in 1959, when a handful of families gathered in a small house in Jackson, Tennessee. What started as a simple desire to worship, pray, and grow together quickly became a flourishing community rooted in a deep love for Jesus Christ.
Today—more than six decades later—Northside is a church family of over 900. We are humbled by what God has done, and we continue to seek His leading as we share His love and make disciples who follow Jesus.

Growing With Purpose
As the congregation grew in number and in mission, Northside developed ministries for every stage of life.
From children, students, and working adults to senior adults, Northside became a place where people could learn Scripture, build community, and serve others.
Our ministry reach extends far beyond Jackson. Through missional partnerships in places like Tanzania, Nicaragua, and Haiti, we join in God’s work around the world—supporting churches, caring for communities, and helping meet physical and spiritual needs.

A Defining Chapter
For many years, Northside was part of the United Methodist Church. In 2020, after a season of prayerful discernment, the congregation voted overwhelmingly to become an independent, non-denominational church. That decision marked an important moment in our story—a desire to pursue ministry with clarity, unity, and a renewed focus on our mission.
With God’s provision and the faithful leadership of our congregation, Northside retained its property and continued to move forward in confidence.

Renewed Spaces for a Growing Church
In 2024, Northside celebrated a major milestone: the renovation and rededication of our sanctuary and key ministry areas. This project honored the 25th anniversary of our building and created beautiful, functional spaces to welcome new families and equip believers for discipleship.
It was more than a renovation—it was a recommitment. A reminder that the Lord is still moving, still calling, and still shaping this church for His purposes.
