Human Trafficking in West TN, Part 1
We go there. Many times, sensitive and troubling subjects can be taboo for some Christ-followers. At Northside NOW, we believe we should engage and raise awareness of things that Jesus would care about. Human trafficking in West TN is one of those things. It’s not just another issue or a political football. It is a reality in our area. In this episode, we speak with an expert who is daily engaged in efforts to combat human trafficking. Our goal is to start a conversation for some, and perhaps raise some more awareness for others, about the challenges we face in the West Tennessee community around human trafficking. Then, as an educated and aware community of Jesus followers, we should move forward as the “hands and feet” of Jesus to find practical and strategic ways to act and create positive change. Parents – we encourage you to find age-appropriate ways to talk to your kids about this issue, but we also advise you to listen to this episode first and then decide what is appropriate to share with them.
