Gerry Campbell is Associate Pastor for Pastoral Care serving at Northside since June 2013. Gerry serves as pastoral lead for the JOY (Just Older Young) senior ministry, the Home-bound Visitation Ministry, the FLOCK college ministry and People of Hope campus serving NA/AA and other community groups.
Gerry assists with preaching, teaching bible studies, confirmation and serving on the planning teams for worship and Connexion Services.
Before coming to Northside, Gerry previously served as the pastor of New Bethel United Methodist Church in Bethel Springs, TN from 2011-2013. Gerry is a graduate of the Tennessee/Memphis Conference Local Pastor Licensing School, May 2013, and Emory University Candler School of Theology, United Methodist Course of Study for Licensed Local Pastors, July 2019. Prior to becoming a pastor, Gerry served as Conference Lay Leader of the Memphis Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church 2012-13, as Jackson District Lay Leader from 2008-2012 and was a member of Keys Chapel United Methodist Church in Lexington, TN.
Gerry is a Retired Law Enforcement Officer, who served from 1983-2013 with the City of Jackson as the Deputy Chief of Police for Administration and Support Services. Gerry is a graduate of the University of Memphis and Northwestern University (Evanston, Ill) Public Safety Traffic and Management Institute.
Gerry is married to Audrey Campbell who is a teacher, coach and athletic administrator at Rose Hill School and Assistant Director of Athletics for Jackson Madison County Schools. Gerry is the father of sons Brandon (Jessica), Bradley (Eloho), Chase and daughter Kiara, and proud grand-dad to Chase II, Jackson, Brooklyn, Braelyn and Elle.
